Overview
Named after a Ute chief, Shavano is often climbed together with neighboring Tabeguache Peak. The east slopes route climbs through forest before reaching the long summit ridge. The "Angel of Shavano" snow formation visible from the Arkansas Valley is an iconic spring sight.
