Route Description
The standard and easiest route to the highest peak in the San Juans. The trail follows Nellie Creek drainage before climbing the gentle south ridge. The summit plateau offers 360-degree views. A relatively straightforward climb despite the impressive elevation.
Gear & Preparation
4WD required for the rough road to Nellie Creek trailhead. 2WD parking adds about 3 miles each way. The area is remote - come prepared.
