Route Description

The classic hiking route to America's Mountain. From Manitou Springs, the well-maintained trail climbs 7,400 feet over 13 miles. Barr Camp at 10,200 feet offers overnight accommodations. The summit house has food and restrooms.

Gear & Preparation

This is a marathon, not a sprint. Consider an overnight at Barr Camp. The elevation gain is massive - acclimate before attempting. The cog railway or highway provide bail-out options if needed.
